Suzie is an experienced senior leader with specific expertise in formulating strategy, public sector bid writing, large-scale project management, public-private partnerships and stakeholder management.


Suzie has 25 years’ experience within the UK's creative and cultural sectors, working in senior positions across a variety of fields including as CEO of a regional screen agency, a Political Correspondent in Westminster, BBC Senior Broadcast Journalist, Director of a film office and an independent feature film producer.

As Founder Director of Zanna Creative, Suzie leads the development of national and regional creative industries strategy, as well as facilitating collaboration between the public and private sectors. Most recently Suzie has worked with stakeholders in the West Midlands to conceive, secure £5m+ of public funds and now lead a team of consultants for industry-body Create Central; she is also the screen specialist for the Thames Estuary Production Corridor and is on the team to deliver the BFI’s FAN Year five evaluation.

Clients include BFI, Creative Scotland, Creative England, British Museum, Thames Estuary Production Corridor, London Arts in Health Forum, HOME Manchester, SharpFutures, British Council, Rural Media and the West Midlands Combined Authority.

Suzie is an invited member of UK think-tank British Screen Forum, Director of Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre Trust, a Clore Fellow and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She was previously Vice Chair of national screen agency Ffilm Cymru Wales 2016-2020 and was named Vitalise Businesswoman of the Year in 2010.
